From their 1989 "comeback" album, Cycles. Hailing from my hometown of San Jose, California, the Doobies have always been near and dear to me. After One Step Closer in the early 80's, they broke up and reunited for this album, sans Michael McDonald who took them in another direction while he was in the band. Not a bad direction, in my way of thinking, but way different from how they started.
The band's reunion and Cycles returned them to their unique rock roots.
But this song reveals that the band had not completely abandoned the funky pop bounce of McDonald's influence. I like it a lot.

Update: Does anyone else scratch their heads and blink twice when a "comeback" album is damn near 20 years old?
