"Extraordinary Circumstances"

I had the opportunity recently (go Book TV!) to watch Cynthia Cooper, the former VP of Internal Auditing at WorldCom, tell her story and pitch her book Extraordinary Circumstances. She and her team brought down the house that Bernie built and showed tremendous courage in in recognizing, pursuing and bringing to light the accounting fraud that was being perpetrated from the top by Ebbers and his inner circle.

She was extremely personable and impressive and she said over and over how important it was for children to hear and learn about the basics of right and wrong (ethics?) to prepare them for the challenges in life. She travels the country now doing just that. This woman had integrity in the face of very powerful people.

Looks like a great read.
