Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks - Summer in Monterey

From another album evidencing the recovery of the formerly down-and-out Beach Boy, Orange Crate Art, 1995.

I was inspired to post this song in honor of Sharon Mollerus and this post at her very interesting blog. Her intellect scares the likes of me. She's as close to a Renaissance Woman as one can be. Sharon also takes fantastic pictures. Check out her photo blog.

And heaven forbid, like many of us with that certain "problem," Sharon appears to buy books and keeps them on her shelves unread waiting for that perfect someday when she picks it up and it all makes sense.

This is as delightful for the Van Dyke Parks sound as it is for Brian Wilson's. Thanks!

As for Sharon Mollerus: she's brilliant, yes. But I just can't read that much at one sitting, especially when there are so many other things equally inviting. Wish I could! Are you an Evelyn Woods graduate?

I'm a big time skimmer when I read blogs for the most part. Take what I want and leave the rest. (And move on to the next?) It suits my ADD to a tea!
