My little (small but mighty) point guard will take up his position on his church 13-15 year-olds team tomorrow. First game. Jerseys will not be passed out until this afternoon. Don't know the color though. Not to worry. There is a wide variety of colors that he can install on his new shoes that will work. What will they think of next?
When I was a kid all there were was white with black stripes Adidas. God did I want a pair. I did not come from a family that could afford them though. So I got the two wide-stripe cheap imitations called, I can still remember, "Hep Cats." They were hardly hep. And I loathed wearing them (and I had to) until I outgrew them. I was that age. Now ask me about wearing black horned-rimmed glasses back then too.
