Call this my pre-discretionary income guilty pleasure indiscretion.
What with:
INSIDE THE LETTERMAN SEX SCANDAL
Michael Douglas and the Return of Gordon Gecko
The Real Desperate Housewives of Lehman Brothers
and....
Christopher Hitchens Re-Writes the Ten Commandments
And you could resist?
Or maybe I'm just marking the last day as a Mr. Mom at the Bi-Lo, or as we call it, the "Bi-Slo."

I broke down and subscribed. There's always at least one New Yorker-style policy expose per issue as well as all the gossip. It's like Playboy in its heyday, adding just enough serious stuff to sell to more than just horny men.
I think I'm going to also. Can't beat $1.00 an issue.
I kinda see it as a high-brow People.
But I really get it for the policy exposes myself!

Right. It's high-class dish. But still...this month there's an excerpt form a new bio of Evelyn Waugh, telling the story behind "Brideshead Revisited." Wonderful stuff you'll find nowhere else...and now I know about the book, too, so I'll buy it.
