The Wonder Ring

"King David" was a 19 year-old in New York City trying to get a ring he made for him to Stevie Wonder.  He was becoming a pest to Stevie's entourage, but Stevie reached out his hand and said he loved gifts.  David put the ring in his hand.

The ring ended up on the cover of Talking Book (1972), Stevie's second truly breakthrough "adult" album after Music of My Mind.  On his right hand.  Sure as heck looks like the ring that King David still makes in Savannah out of silver-plated flatware.

She now has a Wonder Ring of her own and I sure hope the story is true.  'Cause if it is, that is SO COOL.
