The band gifted this to their fans today.
These guys hail from South Carolina and are fresh.
With two critically successful albums under their belt, The Explorers Club are back with a tasty single, "No Good To Cry," recorded in October, 2012 in Atlanta, GA with their long-time producer Matt Goldman at the helm. The song reaches back to 1967, when a young Al Anderson fronted his first recorded band, The Wildweeds. Al, of course, went on to big success as leader of the band NRBQ, and most recently a successful Nashville songwriter. "No Good To Cry" was a magical song in the summer of '67, reaching the number one spot on the charts throughout New England, and charting on the national Billboard Top 100. Although only a regional hit for the band, this updated take by the Explorers Club will bring the song to a much wider fan base, and the oldtimers who remember theier youth on the East Coast will revel as well. Enjoy!
