1) I had a 7 hour road trip last Thursday and heard a few things that I wanted to share:
"there are 100 billion galaxies in the observable universe, approximately, you know, plus or minus a large factor."
If that doesn't make one seem semi-insignificant, nothing will.

The vast majority of births, the researchers predict, will be to immigrants who've arrived just since 2005 and their descendants."
Our children and theirs will live in an extremely different USA than we did. I suppose that is somewhat true of every generation, but this has me thinking it will be extremely extremely different.
