
1) I had a 7 hour road trip last Thursday and heard a few things that I wanted to share:
"there are 100 billion galaxies in the observable universe, approximately, you know, plus or minus a large factor."
If that doesn't make one seem semi-insignificant, nothing will.

Our children and theirs will live in an extremely different USA than we did. I suppose that is somewhat true of every generation, but this has me thinking it will be extremely extremely different.
