when so many whined that amazon.com "hasn't made a profit yet" blah blah blah?
Bezos was subject to intense criticism then. Well look who's still standing. Bezos was hanging in with a long-term vision while his legion of critics / analysts were screaming for short term profits. Any kind of profit!
I don't know much about the man, but he appears to be a brilliant entrepreneur with a company that is difficult for me not to love. And I'm not alone. As much as I damn covet an iPad, I will probably end up with a larger Kindle Fire simply because it has 4g for a one time $50 charge for its lifetime. What does Apple charge for its? $40-50 bucks a month? And is it really true (still!) that iPad users can see nothing Flash-based on that game-changing device? WTF? How did that happen?
All this to say. Check out this article, especially his "Two-Pizza Rule." Sounds about right to me.
My CEO can handle one and his CRO can handle the other I'd bet. For now...
