Five Days of Hope and Despair...
in their California. It's not mine anymore.
Steve Layman pointed me to this excellent essay by the keen Victor Davis Hansen.
And I point you to it. Take a few minutes and get the feel.

Why do you do this to me? An "excellent essay"? A cranky old bastard crying because things are not like they were when he was a kid. Boo fucking hoo. Move on or move out. Who of us doesn't look back with a bit of a rose tinted hue? I was younger, faster, had more hair and was 180 pounds once too. But, I like where I am now the family and life Janet and I have created for ourselves. I am so sick of the school of things were better then. You can't go back. California does not have a wall keeping people in. You don't like it move. You really get up my ass with this stuff,E. It is actually kind of funny, button pusher.
But VDH wasn't saying it was all bad. But I do very much appreciate your excellent rant my friend. E.
There is also the very distinct possibility that I misread the whole thing.or didn't read it at all but heard about. Like most callers to radio shows, or I only felt like commenting on half the story, like a lot of news organizations,Fox,MSNBC. I might just want to be part of the problem,it is so much easier than being part of a solution. Or you USF guys do things to trick me.
